Since 2007, Christian has advised on insurance law and the law of torts and assisted the insurance industry, including companies, brokers and agents, and public authorities and private (corporate) customers on regulatory issues and assisted with solving specific matters about different subjects such as general commercial liability, professional liability, private liability, accident insurance, compulsory insurance (including industrial injuries and motor insurance), public insurance schemes and questions of contractual damages and non-contractual damages.
The advice includes interpreting policies and contracts and agreements, assessing liability, statements of loss, subrogation, drafting questions to experts and assisting with negotiations.
Christian has extensive litigation experience before the Danish ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals in the areas of insurance law, the law of torts and the law of property and obligations. Christian has had a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court since 2016 and he is a member of the Danish Supreme Court Bar Association (Højesteretsskranken) and he is also a certified arbitrator.
In addition to advising on insurance law and the law of torts, Christian has conducted several legal investigations of varying scopes. The clients have included the Danish Ministry of Health and Local Government Denmark (KL). Christian conducts legal investigations to clarify the course of events, to find the reason for the course of events and to learn from the experience and get recommendations to prevent any similar events in future.
