Practice areas

We advise financial services companies and public authorities on the application and interpretation of the complex rules on financial business and securities.

Financial regulation

The requirements to be fulfilled by financial services companies are becoming more complex and extensive. The number of rules are growing steadily and even for big financial services companies compliance can be a significant challenge. We advise on the interpretation and application of the rules and make sure that our customers are able to act lawfully and in a manner suitable for their business.

Our advisory services include advice on:

  • Authorisation requirements

  • Raising of funds

  • Requirements as to solvency and liquidity

  • Mergers and transfers

  • Preventing money laundering and terrorist funding

  • Investor and consumer protection

  • Owner and management issues

Experience and cases

Our advice is based on in-depth knowledge of the Danish law and EU law in the area. We interpret and apply these complex rules in relation to both the public authorities and financial services companies, including Danish and foreign investment companies, investment advisors, investment funds (UCITS) as well as the alternative investment funds and their managers. We assist with the registration with the Danish FSA and with obtaining the relevant authorisations and approvals from the FSA with whom we have a unique collaboration.
